[ - ] Does anyone want to help? My step-sister sees me and literally says "eww" to my outfits (mostly JCrew). What should I buy to spruce up my winter wardrobe? I am going to need a TON of help for spring. That is my weakest wardrobe. 33 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

She makes fun of my undershirts. I always wear an undershirt. Trying to break this habit. What kind of flats? Once it's under 40, I wear boots instead of ballet flats. Or what do about socks/sheer tights with ballet flats? I accidentally bought some non tight cords and she ripped them apart. They might have even been boot cut or something?? Eeek. 2nd grade level books. I'm only asking because there is a kid in my DC's class who is reading at that level. When the teacher is reading aloud to the class, the teacher and the kid take turns reading 1 page. My DC came home and told me this, and I asked the teacher if it was true. I don't think the other kid should be reading to the class, no matter how advanced he is. [ Reply | More ]

I posted above that this was my ds. I didn't want him reading to the class per se but, wanted his teacher to know how well he was reading so she could maybe not give him some of the activities that were geared towards most of the other kids in the class, maybe give him more stuff more interesting for him since he could read so well. My 7 yo DS is the same. I am tempted to let him get in trouble for this stuff, he really hates getting in trouble (at school, not at home unfortunately) so this is usually the only thing that works but I am so sick of fighting him over this stuff. He spends about 10 times the amount of time it takes to do his homework putting effort into trying to not do his homework! [ Reply | More ]

Half the boys are like this at 7, and 25% at 17. Their brain functions differently yet they are often very smart and also willing to work hard. They just cannot keep certain things in their mind. You can't change their actions, but you can either drug them, or give them tools to make their disability easier to manage. [ Reply | More ]

I know this isn't something that can be fixed this week, but I'd go back to the judge and explain what is going on.
