Come on, fess up. How many of you drove home from the hospital with
your infant facing forward? (We know, he was a new wonder and you
wanted to keep an eye on him.) And was his car seat really
attached properly, or just barely buckled in?
Once your sister-in-law straightened you out (the baby is now correctly
facing the rear), and you've somewhat gotten the hang of inserting
the car seat, it doesn't stop the pressure you face of honking cars
behind you while you twist and bend to maneuver baby and seat into
your double-parked car. Why
is it that you need training from your local police or fire station
not to mention a good chiropractor just to master
the art of putting a baby into a car seat?
Lucky for us, a couple of guys with backgrounds in engineering and
design (and experience working for renowned design firm IDEO) got
together to ask the same question. The result is Orbit Baby, a revolutionary
new car seat and stroller system that takes travel with baby to
the next level.
The key to the Orbit Infant System is the patent-pending SmartHub,
which allows the seat to be docked from any angle, and then simply
turned to the proper backward facing position without having to
line up grooves, belts or notches. You can quickly snap the car
seat into its base correctly. The stroller is fitted with the same
circular SmartHub dock, allowing you to pop the car seat out
of the base and into the stroller. The seat itself is sturdy and
well-padded, with a washable microfiber lining and soft carry straps.
The system folds compactly and fits easily into a car trunk.
Bottom line, with the holiday season upon us, the Orbit Infant System
enables globe-trotting parents to make better use of their travel
time and to feel more secure about safety while on the road.
Now that's something to be over the moon about.
