Sitting Pretty

Face it, even at its best, that old car seat is pretty dull. It's either a generic navy blue or covered with dancing pink teddy bears. And when it's coated with Veggie Booty dust, it's downright yucky. Everything else your tot wears, carries or plays with is fun and colorful, so why can't her car seat be both safe and stylish?

Now we're not suggesting replacing the old seat, but you can perk it up with a much cooler cover like the ones by Little Bits. Designer Monica Rodgers has created a line of car seat covers in bright colors, soft fabrics, and classic retro prints. These universal-fit covers are durable, removable, lined, and best of all – washable (anyone who's ever dealt with a bout of toddler car sickness will truly appreciate that). The covers are available in infant and toddler sizes, and are easily transferred between seats.

Little Bits is founded on the principle that every little bit really does make a difference. The company gives back to the community by supporting recycling efforts, organic farming and children's charities, and the seat covers are made right here in the USA from high-quality fabric remnants available in limited runs.

Monogramming is available too, so even if your second child's whole world is hand-me-downs, at least that old car seat can seem brand new.

Nothing dull about that.
