Have a Seat
Since its introduction more than 35 years ago, the shapely Panton chair has been an icon of modern design, bringing clean lines and simple design to rec rooms and dens.
With all the kid-sized options available for tots, it was only a matter of time before Verner Panton took his rightful place in the playroom with a version just for kids.
The new Panton Junior from Vitra is perfectly sized for kids – 25-percent smaller than the grownup version – so little ones won't be left with their feet swinging far above the floor. In every other way, it's an exact match to the 1968 original, with bright colors and smooth curves. Made of virtually indestructible polypropolene (a newer, recyclable alternative to the original fiberglass), this is one chair that can take some serious abuse, whether from apple juice spills or climbing and fort-making. And the unique stackable shape means you don't have to give up precious floor space to stash more than one. Bold, fade-proof colors include yellow, bright orange, pink, light blue, red and black. One is guaranteed to be your kid's favorite (at least this week).
Kids are never too young to own a piece of design history.
