It was only a matter of time before someone came up with the idea of maternity clothes with a rocker’s soul. Ruby Fay, formerly of the UK band Caine, is expecting a babe of her own and therefore had to come up with a line of clothing she could stand to wear. Her Love Hurts T-shirts are a hit in London and recently over here as well, spotted spray-painted over the pregnant torsos of Heidi Klum and Summer Phoenix.

The Tee's are snug and sexy, a helpful reminder to straight-laced husbands that inside every mom-to-be is a raging rebel with more on her mind than just baby bonding. Ms. Van promises more unique maternity designs in the near future including reconstructed men’s shirts, kimono bathrobes, gingham shirts with slogans, military-style jackets with adjustable Velcro panels, and trench coats.
