Bra La La
Anyone who has just delivered a baby is far from feeling sexy. Sure, a nursing mother's bra may increase by two or three cup sizes, but the early postpartum period often means pain and exhaustion, and many new mommies feel lumpy, frumpy and grumpy. Not exactly a time for lingerie.
Most nursing bras are about as exciting as the training bras you wore two decades ago. But British lingerie brand Freya (which caters to full-busted gals, a status for which many nursing mums newly qualify) offers the Rosalie nursing bra, a feminine and pretty option that may be just the right pick-me-up (literally and figuratively).
The mostly cotton bra (available in sizes 30D to 40H) comes in a pastel floral print and is adorned with tiny bows and lace, with a soft cup and an elastic strap to secure the cup in place during feedings. Four sets of hook-and-eyes across the back band make for easy adjustments.
Proper support makes it easier to tackle other issues – like figuring out how to work that Diaper Genie.
