Stork Bite
Nothing can slow us down. Our strollers fold at the push of a button,
our sippy cups don't spill, we can even disinfect our hands without
stopping for soap or water. At this pace, it's no wonder we sometimes
forget to jot down every milestone in our little one's life. That's
where baby "brag" books come in handy -- don't tune out
yet, we know there are a million of them out there -- but none quite
like this.
Originally
published in 1904 and just re-released, Mother Stork's Baby Book
100th Anniversary Edition, is a turn-of-the-century style scrapbook
to celebrate every step in your child's development. This painstakingly
detailed, oversized book accentuates the record of baby's firsts
from birth specifics to photographs, playmates and even early writing
samples. Interspersed throughout are classic poems by Lewis Carroll,
Robert Lewis Stevenson, and Eugene Field, and drawings by Albertine
Randall Wheelan, one of the country's first female illustrators.
This
new edition features updated content for today's parents, is made
with archival-quality materials, printed on custom-made, acid-free
paper, and bound in the most lasting technique now available. To
ensure the preservation of the irreplaceable contents, acid-free
photo corners and a black gel pen with ink are also included. It
all comes in its own custom storage box to make a beautiful gift
that will endure for curious grandkids of the future.
No
washer-dryers, no Pampers -- we're not convinced the early years
of the 20th century really were simpler times. But, when it comes
to celebrating a baby's development, there's something to be said
for taking the time and doing things the old-fashioned way.
