The Plastic House
She
was lulled on an Eames rocker, and summered in a Peter Blake bungalow
on the East End, so she can't have just any dollhouse. The Kaleidoscope,
by artist Laurie Simmons and architect Peter Wheelwright, is the house
of her dreams and yours.
Reminiscent of Gerrit Reitveld's Schroeder House (1925), this dollhouse is an architectural gem with sliding, interchangeable translucent color walls, and accessories by contemporary artists including a sofa by Jasper Morrison and photographs by Cindy Sherman.
Playing house here guarantees either the next Frank Lloyd Wright, or just a kid with good taste.
