It's not the stupidity of Obama it's the stupidity of the public. Obama admin, once they understood the problems, chose to continue to extant policies, just as they did on the economy.

Do you know anything, anything at all about running the most powerful countries in the world? Do you know any of the shit that top level government officials have to deal with everyday? Do you know all the happenings in Afghanistan as to whether pulling troops would be wise or not?

The girdle makes clothes look better but does zip for your body. Only losing weight (gradually) and exercising will bring things (sort of) back into line.

Torturing yourself for nothing. Let it all hang out for awhile and enjoy DB! FWIW I tortured myself by pretending like my skinniest jeans for me right after delivery, and it was excruciating. Just rest and recover for now, you'll get your shape back.

We went to one one time! It's a big hit, but if some girls don't have dolls then I think its not as much fun for them. AG lets them borrow one for the party, but still they were begging their parents to buy them one the entire party.

Yes, but personally I find that a bad sign about the company. If they make candidates jump through hoops like this, I worry what they will do if/when you start.

OP: that is the other side of the coin I suppose. I'm inclined to think it may be a little of both.
I am going to move forward with the process and do the project. If they really like my work then I guess that will be a sign that I'll be a good fit in the company.

Interesting that you say that. I work in the creative field so this us not common practice. Most people ask for a writing sample to be included when you submit your résumé. The vibe I got in the interview was that they take themselves very seriously so am a bit on the fence about I'd want the job.

I had a few interviews at a rival firm and near the end of my recruitment, they asked me to draw a detailed flowchart of the systems I had built at the other firm. They were just getting into the business and wanted to hire me to do something similar to what I had done before. I was torn because I felt it was kind of proprietary and an inappropriate request, but I wanted the other job. So, I gave them a high level one page drawing which they could hardly use on their own if they didn't hire me. It felt so awkward. In the end, I turned down the job.

OP: that is interesting. I took a job a few year ago where I got a weird vibe in the interview but they really liked me and hired me as their first choice. They made a big deal during the interview of how invested they were in their employees. Then when I started working for them they were kind of insane and had ridiculous expectations of me as a new employee. Anyhow, it was a horrible experience and ever since that happened I've been very cautious about taking jobs I I get a weird feeling.

Don't know. But yesterday a guy aggressively cut us off on 124th st. Dh blew the horn at him. Then he did the same thing accessing the bridge (came within a few inches of driving into our 5 year old car in his new car). Looked over and he was laughing at us. He's driving the car we figured we'd buy in the next few months. Now it seems douchey...

OR: OK maybe that was harsh. What I mean is that for a hostess, it's a little annoying not to spend time with the guests. She's not at a hotel. So as soon as she's feeling up to it, try a little hangout to,e. At very least make it clear that you're not feeling well so SIL knows to quit trying.

It his sister in law, and I am not sure what he said to her. He told me if I would like to rest more to go back to bed while he takes the kids out for brunch. I unloaded all of the dishes and cleaned her juice maker. I feel like a good enough houseguest. And fwiw, they are sometimes our house guests as well, so this isn't a one sided relationship.

Waking a guest up and telling the guest they had to get up is rude, whether or not you are sick. Faking being sick (not saying you are) just to avoid a pushy, rude SIL is fine, as long as DH agrees to get up and handle the DC. Rest away/avoid away, my friend. And do the same for her, when she visits.

Why do you think that is? If you fantasize about it then it should be something you'd very much enjoy. Are you self-conscious about it? I know I am but that's only because dh dislikes doing it so it makes me (irrationally) paranoid.

No clue. It's something about his face and head BTW my legs. I love the softness of his hair against my thighs. And I like his scruffy beard and feeling the difference of that. Not terribly self conscious. If he's down there at all, it's because I'm feeling comfortable already. But what he does with his mouth - licking, sucking, whatever, gently or more intense, it just doesn't do it for me. Like, there's never been one time where he did something down there and I was like - YES, that's it, keep doing that.

I would be more annoyed that you are letting your kid run wild down the street and encouraging my kid to do the same. I don't let my kid do that because it is rude to other people.

I would say that you trust her to do stop in time but sometimes it scares the other moms when she runs ahead and that she should walk more calmly over to her friends.

I didn't explain very well. We may be walking when we see the other friend. Then both kids sometimes decide to run to the next corner, which is fine by me. So it is not about my DC running to the friend, but the two kids running together down the street away from us.

Okay, I would just tell my dd to may be walk calmly with her friend then because the other mommys might not trust their dc to run ahead even though you trust her.

unless there is no one but you guys on the sidewalk, fine let the kid run - but if it is a crowded sidewalk, keep them under control

You cannot control another mom's anxiety and it does not matter if the sidewalk is crowded or not.

I totally agree with this. If it's on the way to school, it's unlikely the sidewalk is empty.

Running is for the park. We share the sidewalks, and they're for walking.

I see kids who stop at the edge of the sidewalk, just a few inches shy of the street. Not good ...

ita. This can cause car accidents if a driver slams on the brakes thinking the kid's going to run out and the car behind slams into him. Meanwhile, the cause of the accident and mom walk merrily away.

Melissa and Doug anything, pretty much. And/or Alex art kit. Where do you live? If on UES, I can suggest specific stores that will wrap for you.

I know there's a good toy store over there that wraps (friends always buy my dcs gifts there). Name escapes me, though. Someone here will know, I'm sure.
