My 14 yo son says he feels like he has to pee all the time. His penis has a feeling of dull pressure that is mildly painful all the time. His pediatrician says it's probably a virus in his bladder and is unconcerned. But my son couldn't sleep last night and is upset. He's had a milder version of this before and the pediatrician dismissed it then, too. Advice? Does anyone have a rec for a urologist? Is that who I should take him to?

I would get him to see a urologist. Statistically, it's most likely that your doctor is right. However, it is better to be 100% sure. Plus, it sounds like it is really upsetting to your son and you don't want to dismiss his concerns...specially, regarding his penis.
