I'm pregnant but have a really bad sore throat and cough. Are any cough/cold medicines ok? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Zinc tablets are ok. Have a lot of hot tea and soup. Gargoyle with warm salt water. [ Reply | More ]

Gargle with a 50/50 mixture of maalox and liquid benedryl. It has to be maalox, not mylanta or anything like that. Gargle well and spit out. I was given this when I had strep throat while pregnant and it was AMAZING. I also highly recommend this to anyone with a severe sore throat. It coats and numbs and you can swallow without crying again. [ Reply | More ]

don't knock it. I had vanilla cream maalox and cherry benedryl together and it wasn't bad at all. there are a lot of nasty things in the world but they don't make you feel better...this does. [ Reply | More ]

Juice two oranges, one lemon, add a tablespoon of honey, boiling water. Drink right before you go to sleep. It helps to make you feel better. [ Reply | More ]
