best classes for a 2 year old boy? did not make cut off for preschool this year.

i am looking at 2's programs at appleseeds and NY Kids Club, but am contemplating just putting him in several classes for 1/2 the price and waiting for the preschool/sep in the Fall. sooo undecided.

gotcha. DS is my #1. will be 2 at end of Nov. i work and have full time nanny. feels crazy to spend the $$ for a 2's program when i can put him in 3 or 4 classes for still even less the price. i hate for this to be about money, and he might be great and enjoy the sep/structure, but i think he would be just fine if i waited til fall 2010, when hopefully by then i will have a #2. my DH thinks the whole thing is NUTS. he's probably right.

I would have never even thought about this with #1! I work PT, we have a nanny, #1 is in nursery school in the PMs (afternoon class), and the structure/routine might be nice for everyone (she's a napper, so she'd have to go in the AMs - but then #1 could have some time alone). But yes, the $ is insane - and she'll spend 3 years in nursery school (b/c of her Oct. b-day), so what's the rush?!

I probably will find some sort of gradual separation program - but I admit that it's all sort of crazy (the $, the age, we have childcare, etc.). She'll go to "real" nursery school in Sept. 2010 (in an old 2's/young 3's class). I didn't do this for #1 (whose b-day is in early Dec.) - he took classes (not separation) - and he was perfectly happy!
