    • are they going to do it at 24 hrs and 48 hrs after the trigger? I have heard of this but my dr said it doesn't really up your chance to do two IUIs rather than one at 36 hours. I am not at cornell and am not familiar with their process.

        • that sounds really interesting to me. So you had the LH surge already? How many follicles did you have? What size were they? I have never heard of that, two different ovulation days...I thought if you had the surge or the trigger that all follicles went at that time, even if they were too small.

          • i had one that was 18, 15, 14, 16, 13.5, get my follistim shot tonight at 10, ovidrel at 7 tomorrow, iui tomorrow around 10, then another on tues.

            • if you are still doing follistim I don't think you are ovulating tomorrow. I don't think you will ovulate until 36 hours after ovidrel, according to my dr. I do the follistim until I get follicles to measure 18-22, then I do hcg trigger (novarel or ovidrel) and 36 hrs later ovulate. have you continuously been doing the follistim?

              • yes every day,i take follistim, well with my bloodtest today, and ultrasound dr said like it looks like my body will ovulate on its own, having second iui to max my chances.

    • i'm at cornell, have done iui/unmedicated two months and they have only done one iui per cycle...It probably increases your odds to do two. Who is your doctor?

    • I've only delivered at Mt. Sinai but I had a great experience. Switched OBs to deliver there rather than NYU

      • Who did you use for Mt. Sinai? And why did you leave NYU?

        • DH (who was born at Cornell) only wanted to have db at Sinai or Cornell. I wasn't happy with my OB/GYN as an OB (she was fine as a GYN). Went with Mt. Sinai Faculty Practice (Barbieri/Kremmer/Teng)

    • loved delivery at NYU, primarily because of my obgyn. HATED, repeat HATED, post-partum recovery there. asshole nurses who left mid-exam to pick up their chinese food delivery. overflow from maternity wing stuck on other wing with general surgeries - bad scene. that being said, i'm going to deliver there again with #2 this spring. love my obgyn and will just mentally (or physically) give the finger to the nursing staff who piss me off.

      • ita. My post-partum nurse at NYU was very rough with me wheeling my stretcher on the elevator after my C. But also, the nurses during delivery sucked, too. While we were supposed to be counting breaths during a contraction they were playing the "do you know (this person)?" game with each other. I am not a person who likes conflict, but I finally said, "Really. Who cares who you know. I'm trying to have a baby here?"

    • Delivered #1 at NYU; it was okay. Delivered #2 at SLR; much better experience all around.

    • I've delivered 2 at Mt. Sinai and had fabulous experiences both times. But I'm not sure how great it would be if you are dedicated to having a natural child birth.
