Anyone have experience with combining two apartments into a duplex? How much did the basic work cost? How expensive are architect fees?
2 replies [ Reply | Watch | MoreIt obviously depends on how much other work you have to do - ie, do you have to rip out plumbing or other walls, are you reconfiguring the apartments? Is it a simple spiral stair or a more substantial one? A regular stair probably runs about $25k and up. Also, this is structural work so there are other fees such as DOB filing fees, expeditor fees.
