7 mo old still loves napping while on my chest. Personally, I love it. Any reason to stop?

    • I would sleep train and nip this bad habit in the bud. You are teaching DB that this is how napping should be. Later on, you might find it inconvenient and it'll be a lot harder to undo then.

        • Just don't worry about it. I can't guarantee you'll always get as much sleep as a person who sleep trains, but in the long run that's kind of immaterial. For all you know, the joy that you get from cuddling could energize you even more. So glad you posted and thanks for the smile. Signed...big kid's mom

    • As long as you love it and aren't concerned w how long and/or how painful it will be to stop it later, no problem

    • enjoy it, just be aware that it's extremely difficult to change that pattern w/o some crying involved. I read the no cry sleep solution book and found it a total waste of time and money. I ended up using ferber which was tough the first 2 nights, but now i have a wonderful sleeper

    • Enjoy it, IME, babies naturally wean off sleeping on you for naps. As they get bigger it becomes less comfortable and they usually prefer a stroller or crib nap.

    • If you want him to sleep in his crib at some point without a major battle, you're better off nipping it in the bud now. It's so nice napping with them, but it depends on what your ultimate goal is for how/where you want them to sleep.
