  • How much do you pay your pediatric dentist? My dd is 2.5 and needed a serious plaque/tartar scraping, but I feel like I got taken to the cleaners.

    • It seems like it is always $200 for a "nothing" visit (they show him a movie about teeth and put fluoride on his teeth). So maybe a little more if a serious cleaning were needed? I agree, it

        • We pay a lot, too, but 1 annual cleaning is covered by their Oxford Freedom health ins and the other by their dental ins.

          • OP here - No dental insurance and this was the second cleaning/checkup this year. I think the first visit was $180 (can't remember now) and this one was $275. Just seems a bit much to me. I'm definitely in the wrong business!

            • LOL, I know. It kills me to pay so much when they barely touch my child's teeth. I know I'm paying for the flat screen TVs in every room and the huge aquarium in the lobby!
