    - np: are you a doctor? i can't understand why you would hate posts asking people's opinions of a doctor. these posts are really helpful for many of us. do you think that patients should blindly choose their doctors? what exactly do you propose they do in place of asking others their opinion? there are similar rating sites for doctors, professors, dentists, you name it. i think it is perfectly fair. some people are bound to be happy with your services, some are not. but if you do a good job, on balance people will express their happiness.

      - First of all, these are opinions. Second, many of the targets of those opinions are public figures. Much less protection. Lots of First Amendment protection to what goes on on UB and it serves a public service too. If we can't share opinions, what can we share?

  - I agree. You may have a doctor whose personality someone doesn't like; they come on here and anonymously blast them, and thousands of people read this. My guess is that one day UB will be sued.

    - NP: How would stating your opinion on UB be any different than stating it on one of those many "review your doctor" websites? And stating your opinion is not libel, as a poster above stated. Only blatant lies are considered libel.
