    • we've paid our regular nanny and extra $75 to stay overnight for three kids -- all under four. But they sleep all night so she sleeps all night. the clock starts ticking again when they wake up and she starts her day. have fun!

    • as someone who has been literally take to the cleaners with overnights i would suggest asking for a flat rate somewhere in the ball park of $200 to $300 per day.

      • literally? like you had to go to the dry cleaner because your nanny overcharged you for overnight work?

    • We did 250 for 24 hours. It was a sitter though, not a nanny. And we paid for everything inbetween.

    • Break down your nanny's salary into her hourly rate. For overnights and weekends you should be paying time-and-a-half for however many hours she is there.
