What is the downside to going to Kindergarten at a Montessori school? The school goes up to the 5th grade. I am just thinking of keeping my dc in the school for Kindergarten and then explore my options.

    • less entry spots in 1st grade? why not apply out for K, then if you don't get in, you'll have the chance to reapply to schools you liked

      • My ds scored terribly on the erb. He is taking the SB and the Hunter test and if he bombs I was thinking of keeping him in his Montessori school. This is his first year there prior to that he was in another nursery school for 3 years.

        • what do you consider terribly? the fact that you are even testing him for hunter means he is smart

              • Testing a child doesn't mean the child is smart: it merely indicates you have the means to have the child tested. Not testing a child doesn't mean a child is not smart.
