does anyone have a story abt falling hcg levels in early pregnancy but things turning out ok? desperately hoping, but its probably false hope.

  - Consider yourself very lucky if you don't know. It's a hormone that doubles every third day is a normal, progressing pregnancy. Falling HCG usually means miscarriage. I'm sorry, OP. BTDT 2x with third = healthy DS if that makes you feel any better.

- This happened to me very early on, about 6 or 7 weeks. My dr noticed that my hcg levels were dropping and put me on bedrest for about a week, then made a follow up visit. Everything was normal the following week. I am now 38 weeks pregnant and incredibly thankful. It was a very difficult week so I can empathize with how you are feeling. - This could be a vanishing twin (do a google search on that term). Sorry you are going through this. I do know of a friend that had a successful pg with a dodgy start like this but you should be prepared for the other outcome as well. Hang in there.
