She is 2 but my mom lives with us 4 days out of the week. So it's me, dh, my mom, and dd. It's not to hard if you do the dishes as often as possible. You can leave them in the sink to dry or dry them yourself with a cloth. My dh likes to cook and there are a lot more dishes when he does but I soak everything right away so it's not hard to clean.

Let's be clear, when you people say "No paper goods" you just mean paper plates/cups, right?
[ Reply | More ]i lived without a dishwasher until i was 45. no paper plates. we had a cleaning lady but dh joked that i always did the dishes before she came and it was true! i can't tell you how much i love my bosch now that i have one!
