  • What do you think of a friend who only invites you to Tupperware parties, jewelry parties, etc. She is a nice person, but I'm feeling a bit used.

    • Just keep declining and eventually she will get the picture.

    • Ugh I HATE this. I never want any of that crap and prefer to do my shopping IRL. I tell people this but some just keep inviting you anyway. Frustrating.

    • I refuse to go to those parties. They stuff is all high priced junk. After a couple of years of declining every one of those invites (including Mary Kay, Party Lite, Southern Living, Pampered Chef, Jockey for Her, etc. crap. etc.) I've noticed that I rarely get invited to those anymore but my friendships are still in tact. My friends just know that I don't "do" those parties.

    • ugh, also hate these! I have been invited to them via a friend of a friend and feel no reason to go, so I say no. I would def say no, especially if your only contact with this person is with an invite to a party and no other social events/lunch/phone calls/etc.

    • Just don't go. I went once and ended up hanging out with the two DHs there.
