    • Neither of mine ever had a lovey or a favorite toy they'd carry around. They never even took a pacifier.

    • I encouraged a lovey from the time both were newborns as I read it can help thme sleep independently. Not sure if it made a difference, but both are very attached to their loveys.

    • mine didn't have a "lovey" or paci, but then when she was two, she was given a small stuffed animal which she started to sleep with (but never carried around otherwise). she still cuddles with it at night (almost 7).

    • mine is 23 months and never really cared. There are two potential loveys in her crib, and she doesn't pay much attention to them. She does use a pacifier (or three) during the night and at naptime, but they are all removed promptly when she gets out of the crib.

    • my 3yo never had a lovey. she did like her binkie (pacifier) and wanted it to sleep but that "went to the babies" when she was 2.
