  • LA moms - what are some of the area's best pre-schools?

    • We're at the First School in Santa Monica. It's wonderful. Sensitive to the individual needs of the kids, but definitely pushing them to grow and explore. We're very happy with it.

        • This was our first choice. We also looked at Center for Early Ed, but whoa was that not our scene. If I had known about it I would have looked at UES, or whatever it's called now -- the UCLA lab school.

        • There are a lot of siblings that fill the morning program. But I think there is movement on the wait list.

          • While I have you here, are there websites that are local for parents with these types of information. There are in NYC and Washington DC for example, but I have not been able to fine one for LA. Thx.

            • I don't know about websites. There's a book called the Whitney Guide, that I didn't find so useful, and I think something called Coping with Preschool Panic for LA. But nothing Online. Peachhead, but that's UB for LA, basically.
