37 weeks pregnant, went for a checkup yesterday and the dr did a pelvic exam to check my cervix. He said I am about 1 cm dialted. For the last day, I have had a lot of clumpy brown discharge. Is this the show or is it just because he did an exam?

    • probably because of the exam. The plug is pretty obvious if you see it. I have plenty of friends that never noticed when the plug game out. I was in the shower and it was obvious to me. Near the end, I had light, brown spotting after each appointment.

    • I also had brown blood spotting after the internal exams. The plug (for me) looked exactly as it is named.
