Feeback for K: what should we expect to hear from schools that want us v. don't want us? Will they be direct or do we have to interpret? Not sure what to expect. TIA.

    • depends on the relationships your psd has with schools. you likely won't hear anything until late Jan, or in our case, the week or so before letters were mailed.

        • we applied the first year fc letters were "discourage" and we were asked to give our psd our top three--i.e., we didn't fc.

        • np: if you have a connected PSD who gives you feedback, I would save FC letter for adter you've heard feedback. you could send ILY letters before that though. if there's a school you LOVE but they don;t want dc, usually PSD will say "it's not going to happen" or "not interested". If, OTOH, you've gotten positive feedback from schools you like, she may not bother to give you negative feedback from a school you don't really want anyway.

    • No not direct and don't spend your time interpreting. It is a waste. You will get in where you get in why must you try to know ahead of time and get yourself anxious

    • think it really depends on your psd. some schools that are pretty well known for brokering, etc may have more concrete feedback.
