How do I get DH to pay attention to me and appreciate me? Feel like the only attn I get from him is negative - telling me to clean up, arrange things a certain way do this that or the other. Really pissing me off.

    - 1) dh doesn't pay attention to you 2) dh doesn't appreciate you 3) dh doesn't pay attention to nor appreciate you, and you have no idea how to "get" him to do so, so you post on ub 4)dh TELLS you to clean up IN A CERTAIN WAY -- what are you, his personal assistant???

        DH is super neurotic, cannot relax, and is upset by everything. It's like I can't break through to him to get his attention, he's so distracted by all his neuroses. I don't know if I can stay in a marriage like this.

- I hear you! My dh, while a great guy and super family focused, is pretty neurotic about how things are cleaned. Over the years, I have gotten to the point where I tell him that if he "re-cleans" or tells me how to clean something, I won't do it anymore. Now, I only clean the bathroom and he keeps his mouth shut.
