I realize kids, including mine, love getting goody bags at parties but I just wind up tossing the stuff after a few weeks when it's clear dd has never touched anything in them. Is there anything I could put in a goody bag (mostly 4/5 year olds, a few younger siblings) that might be fun?

np - does dc bring home the scholastic flyers? Cheap and easy and school benefits - though you do need to leave some decent lead time
[ Reply | Options ]We had a party at FAO Schwarz, so we bought a book there that was good for 2/3 year olds, boys and girls, called Sounds Around Town. Im not sure what 4/5 year olds are reading these days, but if the party has a theme, go with that, or a birthday book, or if there's something kind of new that came out, like when Madonna's book came out, just so not everyone has it already. Can be tricky...the ones I bought, I figured few people had them.

Are you expecting something special from your dh for Valentine's Day?
- Yes, and he's in big trouble if he forgets.
- Yes, but it's not something I care about.
- No, thank goodness.
- No, and I'm already fuming. He's so unromantic!
