Any Dalton parents on? Did you know that your parent interview went well? We loved the school, but didn't get any vibes either way.

- Did not have anything to compare it to. Only applied there. We were young and dumb.

- We applied a few seasons ago, but DH and I felt the interview had gone well. It lasted about 45-50 minutes and DOA gave concrete feedback on DC's playdate. Although she was not there, she mentioned positive comments made by the reviewers. Also mentioned DC's ERBs (v. good). DOA never said anything about our chances at getting in or when we'd hear something, but the interview was very comfortable not strained and in our gut we felt it went as good as could be expected. No feedback that we were aware of until mid January through PSD. PSD did communicate it was one of our top 3 (although not allowed she may have even revealed it was our FC), although we did not write a FC letter.

      - Great place for the right DC. And definitely diverse in every way possible and not just black/white diverse - there's the whole cultural/racial/economic spectrum. In the LS I have not seen the wealth or celebrity focus mentioned in this board. In fact, the parent body at LS is pretty low key - not as UES as I expected. Given the comments on this board, I wonder if the vibe at Big Dalton may be different.

- To me, a parent interview goes well when it feels like a comfortbale conversation. And for us, it did feel that way, but Babby seems like she might make everyone feel that way. FWIW, DS had not yet been seen, nor were his ERB scores in at the time.

  - Was the same for us... by far the most interesting and comfortable interview we had but mostly due to the fact that Babby is very good at her job. DCs ERBs were in (v. good) but they were not mentioned other than some vague reference to a yellow tab. DC had not yet been observed at PS so no information to discuss there either. Somehow, we still managed to effortlessly fill the better part of an hour. Even if DC doesn't make it, will still stand out as our favourite school/tour/interview.

      - The admissions office color codes/color tabs the application file - different colors for completion of various parts of the application process 1) interviews scheduled; 2) child interview completed/tour completed; 2) parent interview completed; 3) ERBs in; 4) school report in; 5) FC letter provided; and maybe others. Babby had our file during interview and we asked.

- interview was fine, nothing special. Certainly did not stand out in any way. We had interview while dc was on play date and before we had erb scores so there was nothing much for them to say about dc other than what we'd written on our application.
