wwyd? have 2 ds, desperately want a dd...but don't want another ds. Am worried that if I go for 3 & wound up w 3ds's, will be depressed...please no flaming--I do appreciate that I have a healthy family as is, but I have no sisters so it's always been a dream to have a girl

- i think it's very dangerous to let your happiness depend on outside factors. my mil is like this. she's so sad that she never had a dd. it creates very unhealthy relationships with everyone - her ds, her dils, and her grandchildren. you need to reset your thinking.

- i did not try for a third until my dh swore he would be happy with either dd or db. (we have two same sex already). i certainly had a longing for the opposite sex, but we did not try for the 3rd until i felt sure i just purely wanted a db and a family of 5.

- don't do it. You have a 50% chance of having another boy, and it wouldn't be fair to him. Adopt if you are set on having a girl.

  - ita, though I *think* I read somewhere that if you already have 2 of one gender the percentage chance of having the same gender again is higher than 50%. Something about the sperm health of one over the other.
