  • is anyone else scared silly by this whole dugard story? what scares me the most is that she had a parent (step-parent) *watching* her and it didn't help. and she wasn't a little girl. she wasn't a 4yo or a 6yo that you'd walk to the bus stop. it just really freaked me out. anyone else?

    • i cannot possibly understand how it could have happened and for her to have been kept captive for so long and gave birth to 2 kids when she was a child herself. it is incomprehensible that no one saw and reported strange goings on. how many people just looked the other way?

      • But that's the worst and scariest thing about the whole story - the police were asleep at the switch! Someone even called 911 a couple years ago and nothing happened.

    • I was at a really busy mall yesterday and was completely freaked out the whole time. My oldest are 10 year old twins, and they want to walk home from school and I can't get this out of my brain.
