    • Only stripping membranes really works. All the other remedies have limited to no evidence to support them. Of course when you are 9mths pg you'll try anything and I don't blame you!

    • i did not like it at all. stright pitocin drip, hurt like a mother adn i hated being stuck in bed. unmedicated non-induced labor was easier to deal with. but sometimes you need to do it.

    • I was induced and it was not all that painful. M ob was the one to come in and say "you should think aobut getting the epidural soon". It was slow and very controlled it just took a long while. I would do it again if it made sense and I have many friends whose inductions were also pretty easy. GL

    • I was induced x 1, spontaneous labor x 2. Induction was more uncomfortable and generally a less pleasant experience. It did not take longer, but seemed to progress more slowly. Epidurals with all with varying degrees of success.

    • Have done it twice & found it fine just a long process. The good news is that you can nap all day so you'll be prepared for the labor. With my 3rd db I had had a long day with my two kids & then I went into what turned out to be another really long labor so I was completely exhausted, turned into a crying mess & had no energy to greet the new baby. My best tip is to ask for the epidural at least 30-45 min before you think you need it. It can take a while to track down the anesthesiologist.
