Do you 'enjoy' spending time with your kids?
- Yes, most of the time we really have fun together
- Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's really dull and aggravating
- Honestly most of the time it's not fun at all, but it's not supposed to be fun

OR: uh, no Shanghai and HK are NOT just like NYC. I lived in HK for a year working (only foreigner in my firm, all else were locals), no it's not. Yes, the luxuries are there and so are amenities, but average everyday life is not like it is here unless one only frequents and hangs out with only expats and their locales. that said, the difference is why i am hankering for china. if these towns really were like nyc i wouldn't be bothered to be interested.

sorry was only there for 2 days, stayed at peace hotel, did the bund and pudong tower, very western activities. local street markets were interesting, contemporary art galleries were burgeoning (nonstate owned are most interesting). the urban planning was really crazy. the roadsways were something from a scifi movie.
