Question about portable car DVD players that belt over headrest. Have two kids, 21mo and 4.5yo. Should I get something that plays on each monitor independently (so they can watch their own shows) or make them share the video experience (player hooked up to two monitors)?
6 replies [ Reply | Watch | Options ]If you're doing after market installation, I would get two and strap them to the headrests. It is very difficult to position one in the center and it can be dangerous if not secure. This is what we did and we only use them on road trips out of the city (not day-to-day driving around).
[ Reply | Options ]Why can't they look at the scenery? That's what ALL UBers did as kids. Our country place is 2 to 3 hours (depending on traffic) outside the city. During the school year, we generally go out every weekend. For a brief moment we considered having the dealership install seatback dvds for our kids, then we though, why?!? Kids learn from seeing and they shouldn't be plugged in/watching a screen just because they might have to take a long drive.
