  • I don't think the McCann's killed their daughter. There is no motive.

    • But they are patently stupid and negligent. Even before all this "bad man lurking behind every bush" hysteria, my grandmother never ever left us kids in a hotel alone and we've been all over the world. She wouldn't even do it as teens when we begged her we would behave.

      • yes, as posted before, they doped her up with nighttime cold medicine to knock her out so they could go out to dinner without having to worry about her getting up and wondering where they were. alas, she od'd.

    • I don't either considering they said they had to go through a year of fertility treatments for her but (I hope I have the right story) you don't EVER leave your kids in a hotel room and then leave and go have dinner somewhere else. They lack common sense but I don't think they killed her either, unless it was by accident.

        • I'm not sure, why would you go to dinner and leave your dead child in your hotel room. It doesn't make sense for them and since the body has never be found - where could they have hidden a a body that the investigators didn't look - they searched everywhere.

        • no, the private detective hired by the family says someone they won't identify has come forward to say a woman in a bar in barcelona (nowhere near the supposed abduction) came up to him the day after the disappearance and said something vaguely odd that they won't reveal and that she looked like posh spice. there is now an all-points bulletin being issued by the pi for this mystery posh spice look-alike who may or may not have said anything remotely suspicious to the mystery man. it's sad the extremes taken by the parents to cover this up, but i guess they have to keep it up to save their butts.

    • I think she was kidnapped. Apparently, others in their party saw a man carrying something wrapped in a blanket that could have been a child. Apparently, there is a black market for children where they were and she is a pretty blond, blue-eyed girl. I think she was targeted and someone who worked in the hotel (and had a room key) was involved. I think there's also a chance she's still alive.
