  • Infant sleep question: My 7 month old did a stint of sleeping through the night and is now back to her old habits of waking frequently. Our current schedule is to put her down after feeding around 7, wake her at 10-ish to feed, and then she usually wakes up between 2 and 5, then up for good at 7-8. I was OK when she was eating at 10, then sleeping till 6. But now she is all over the place and when I wake her at 10, she is so groggy and not ready to get up. I hate waking her, but I also want her sleeping through until 5 at the earliest! Is 7 months old too young to sleep from 7 until 5am without eating? My son was doing this just fine at her age, so I am not sure if I should institute some sleep training or what..especially since she was going for longer stretches than this at 5 months. Help!!

    • My pediatrician said most babies can sleep all night at 5 months and atthat point if db wasn't to try not feeding her when she wakes. you certainly don't need to wake a 7 month old baby. AND, you should definitely try NOT waking the baby and letting sleep! She might sleep all night long!!
