  • any ideas on how to introduce bottle to breastfeeding nb?

    • are you planning on bf still? just give a bottle to your dh and leave the house or room.

      • i would like to slowly stop breastfeeding-or is cold turkey better, either way my 2 month old won't take bottle!! very frustrated!!

        • have you tried different bottles? personally i like the playtex drop ins, both my breastfed babies took those at their sitters house...have dh give bottle in the evening and put a shirt of yours on his chest so baby can still smell you ...then just take it 1 step at a time...

    • if you want to introduce a bottle, start sooner rather than later - with #1, i didn't start until 4 months old and had a difficult time trying to get my dd to take it - with #2, started earlier, and by the time #3 came around, i started at 2 weeks and baby was able to go back and forth easily between breast and bottle (never had any nipple confusion)
