    • my baby is a month old- had 40 lbs to lose...I eat an entire bag of chips ahoy (entire package) a couple of times a week....and forget holding back at dinner. I had three pieces of lasagna last night, plus dessert. take it in stride...give yourself a "be bad" day here and there or else you'll go nuts! In spite of my eating habits, I have about 10 lbs to go, which isn't bad to me bc I am certainly not dieting.

      • I couldn't eat nearly as much as you or OP if I tried, and I love food and never pass up a Magnolia cupcake.

        • OP - I was/am you (ds is 13 mos old now and I'm still a few lbs away). I started sparkpeople and kept track of everything I ate and it really helped me. I started at the 10-15 overweight mark and have lost almost 10 lbs. I still cheat now and then b/c I have such a sweet tooth/love of junk food (I have Columbo for lunch sometimes) but it helps me to keep track of what I eat.

    • OK, yes, that was a train wreck of a day but there's always today. Try removing all that crap food from your house so you aren't tempted. You can't eat what you don't have.

    • don't you hate days like that when you start off so well! i did the same thing yesterday -- started off so well, and then went into a long meeting and ate about 48 mini snickers bars :o( today is a new day, though -- carpe diem!

    • Did eating that make you feel sick? Now, I am not a nutritionist, but in looking over what you ate for the entire day, it is seriously lacking in protein (and way too much sugar and fat, but you know that already). I would try eating protein for breakfast ( poached egg, egg whites & turkey bacon), followed mid morning by a small snack, with a protein rich lunch. Including more protein in your diet may curb your carbo/sugar craving. I have a sweet tooth too and this works for me (except on the days that it doesnt, of course!) Good luck.
