      • np: agree completely. take it from a btdt mom with an 7 yo who is developing breasts (with no other risk factors for early puberty, ie obesity, family history, etc). I wish I had spent the extra $ on organic milk whether the link is proven or not.

        • np You do now, right? I've only ever given my girls (7 yo and 3 yo)organic milk. Try to get all organic dairy and meat, too, but it's not always available. Milk, though, is never conventional (unless we're dining out or something).

        • Does it have to be organic milk or just hormone free (which is significantly cheaper)?

        • nnp: not only is organic better, but you should realy stick to the farms that are rated better on this - ones that have low herd turnover, that don't buy dairy cows who were not on organic from birth and then just start feeding them organice, etc.

    • you shouldn't give dairy in first year. I can't give to my baby because he's got a dairy intolerance, which I detected with breastfeeding him

      • yogurt and cheese are okay after 9 months, but plain milk should wait until 1 yo.
