Please tell me I am overreacting. My dc who is 2 had a playdate yesterday. It was in a park where a planned sport activity was taking place. It turned out that another mom joined with her child so there were three DC that where there on a "playdate" plus a bunch of others there were there for the outdoor activity. At one point balls were given to the kids and it took a while for my child to get hers. A line had formed to shoot hoops and when my dc got her ball I put her in line next to the other DC's that she knew so that they can all be together. One of the playdate pointed out that her child was in front of her and so I just went back to the end of the line. My dc was crying because she wanted to be with her friends and I just thought that was very strange. WDYT?

    • 2 year old? Don't sweat it. Next time, distract her till her friend finished her first turn/shots then join the friend at the end of the line.

      • I am just thinking that it was a comment toward me as I placed the DC there. I wanted the kids to be together as they were there on a playdate. But the mother made me feel like I was cutting the line by placing her there, and I thought that was strange..

          • so if you in a cafeteria with your friends and go back for an apple you should not rejoin the line with your friends, but get in back of the line?

          • That's if you were already in line. You weren't.
