    • Completely subjective, you should buy the book, but my list in no particular order is (and I'm only listing general ed programs) 3, 6, 40, 41, 89, 116, 150, 158, 234, 290. All 10 are in District 2 which is the only district I am familiar with.

        • Well, 150 isn't a "zoned" school but all the others are and yes, they are all general ed and not selective schools. I didn't rank those.

    • Hunter, Stuyvesant, LaGuardia, Bronx Science, Bard (1 in Manhattan, 1 in Queens), Townsend Harris, Beacon, Eleanor Roosevelt, Brooklyn Tech. Also add NEST, Lab, Lehman College for American Studies and we'll see about Brooklyn Latin, Frank Sinatra, Baccalaureate School for Global Studies. Don't know how Murrow and Midwood are doing these days.

        • It's just that I've known more kids to select ElRo. But I have an uptown Manhattan bias so for all I know, Lab is much better than the other schools I've listed.

          • ^^Oh, and damn! OP just asked for Manhattan schools. Well, many Manhattan kids do go to these HS out of Manhattan.
