Help me pick a new car. I know nothing about cars. I have 1 kid still in a car seat. I rarely drive (only weekends). I would like to be environmentally friendly. I don't cart around a lot of stuff or people. I want a safe car, heating/cooling vents in the back and front, quiet so you can hear the person in the backseat speak, good in the snow/ice/rain... any ideas? I just got a divorce.

    • We have the Subaru Outback and really love it for all the criteria you describe, esp safety in ice and snow. As kiddos get older, you might need to cart a bit more stuff but it's still a fairly small car for a hatchback and is environmentally pretty friendly. There's also the Prius, which is nice and super enviro friendly. GL!
