  • DH and I are considering places to move to downtown to be closer to NEST. We love the west village, but it's too $$$ (as is Tribeca). We can probably swing BPC, and the commute is short (I think the M22 bus even goes straight there). Is it a nice place to live, though? Are there conveniences (food stores, etc). IT seems so isolated and far. TIA.

    • M21 bus goes from Spring St. up 6th Ave to Houston and across to Ave. C where it turns north. NEST is at Ave. D. The bus is one of those where you follow the posted schedule because it only runs every 15-20 minutes.

      • M22 bus goes from BPC through Chinatown to Grand St. It is a long trip and you're still not at Houston.

      • IME that bus is almost never on time. I ALWAYS end up waiting forever for it. Would definitely take a cab to school practically every day if this were the only public transportation option.
