international flight questions: how far in advance do you have to get to newark (it's a 7:30am flight..ugh), and how long would you estimate a 5:30/6am car service from bklyn (prospect hts) to newark? thx!

- Check with the airline, but typically 2 hours for international. We have a 6 a.m. flight next week and plan on getting to the airport at 4:30 (which in my experience is plenty). Called the airline to check and the airport (counters) actually does open at 3:30 a.m. For travel time, use google maps. At that hour, assuming car is on time, there really shouldn't be any traffic delays.

- 20-25 minutes from the jersey side of the holland tunnel to newark assuming no traffic, and there won't be at that hour. you should probably get there no later than 5.30 if you're trying to check bags, etc.

  - ^^all of which suggests a departure time from your home of 4-4.30. you definitely cannot leave your home at 5.30 or 6.

- You need to get to the airport by 5:30 so need to leave you apt much earlier - luckily you'll be going the opposite direction of most rush hour traffic.

    - I think so. We got there in 45 minutes from Manhattan once in the late afternoon. Also, try just to pick sleeping dc up and shove her in the car - bring a change of clothes and toothbrush.
