we are debating about putting our dd in preschool next year. She will be 2.6. how many of you waited until your dc was 3+?

- dd is turning 2 in august and we are waiting until next year to put her in preschool, but even then only a couple of days a week

- Our dc started at 2.9yo and we have been happy. I believe some schools may not take dcs as young as you dd. GL

- DS was 2.6 when he started preschool. He really didn't get much out of it at all. It was more for me b/c I had a newborn, too. Now, dd is turning 2 in Aug, and she's old enough for our preschool's 2's program, but I'm keeping her out til next year.

- My dd is staring preschool in Sept at 2.4 for 2 days/week. We are happy with our decision as she loves the classes she already takes, so it seems like an extension of that. Also, several friends with older kids said it was better to go in at 2 bc at 3 all the spots are taken. We decided to apply to a few places we liked, see where we got in and then decide. It can't hurt to go on some tours to see if anything appeals to you.
