My Beta numbers today was 12,435 21dpo (up from 673 14dpo). This is a non-IVF pregnancy, but I have had four prior miscarriages and no successful pregnancies. I am on Endometrin - could this cause the high beta, or could I be carrying twins?
7 replies [ Reply | Watch | Options ]My beta numbers skyrocketed (on an IVF) and all the nurses were sure it was at least twins...turned out to be a singleton - now 17 weeks. My RE said that you really cant tell from the early numbers and if its a natural cycle its even more up in the air bc you dont know when you conceived. GL!
[ Reply | Options ]Wow!!! Way to quadruple, not just double. LOL. I would not read to much into the numbers though. My friend had twins via IVF and her beta was so low after 14 DPT they thought it was a false positive. Her numbers doubled but never go that, wow, it could be twins kinda of doubling. At 6 weeks 5 days saw two kidney beans. She went from having no hope to B/G twins.
[ Reply | Options ]OP: Thanks for information, and your good thoughts. It is all just a lot to take in. My second pregnancy was twins, so maybe this is not so unexpected. My dr. wants to do an U/S on Thursday, so we will see. Really, we do not care if there are one of 20 in there, as long as there is a single heartbeat!
