We need our bathrooms and kids' bedrooms painted. Will it look better if we hire a painter rather than do it ourselves? How much would something like this cost?

- I paid 500 to get a bedroom painted and it looks great. I found the painter on Craigslist.

- you can do a professional job yourself as long as you take the time to tape off the rooms before you start painting. Put it around the ceiling and floor boards so you have sharp lines

- You also need to scrub down the walls with TSP or other cleaner. Have "fun"! (been there). :)

- painters can do a really bad or good job, just as you can. i've never hired a painter since painting (especially just a couple of rooms) is really the easiest thing on the planet.

I paid 500 to get a bedroom painted and it looks great. I found the painter on Craigslist.
