I need this db to come out right now. having contractions on and off for days- nothing consistent. am exhausted, swollen & done. any suggestions besides the usual? can't even imagine having sex right now, can barely walk although I am trying! getting spicy food tonight.

    - I would make the appointment now. They usually need some lead time. That way you have an actual date to look forward to...and if it comes earlier then good for you!

  - nooooo....sometimes they stay to long at the fair and have to be induced! LOL. This woman and her anxiety could cause more harm to the fetus than setting a date for inducement.

    - np: that is just absurd. It's called prodromal labor. It's annoying, but there's nothing you can do about it. Inducement is not a shortcut to avoid the discomfort or annoyance of full term pregnancy!

  - I didn't say they always come 'early' I said they always come when they are ready sans induction or c-section. My dd was 3 days late but I was assured she would come when she was ready and she did.

- I sympathize. I had false labor for 5 weeks straight before active labor. It's exhausting in many ways. The good thing is that once active labor begins, it will likely go REALLY fast.

  - Ditto. Your body is working, OP. It is all good. I was the same as you, and once labor started, it was three hours total. Just relax and watch tv or something--keep your mind off it.

- I was you three weeks ago, only I was almost two weeks late. My doctor scheduled an inducement, and then she came naturally the next day. I was so bloated and exhausted, it was all I could do to shift my ass off the couch, never mind having sex or anything else. I hate to say it, but you just have to wait it out. Labour is likely to come on like a ton of bricks when you do finally go, I had my dd 1.5 hours after going to the hospital. Good luck, i know it sucks right now :-(
