- op- am surprised by the positive feedback. DH and I both really like it but I am leary of what others will think. BOth our parents know we like it and flat out hate it, my mom told me it sounds like a skin disease..

      - Your mom and mother-in-law got to name their kids, and you and your dh get to name your new baby. They shouldn't be critical of your ideas, but I wouldn't let them push you away from your first choice. Really, Blythe is a wonderful name and goes in the same classic category as Brynn, Barret and Bronwyn.

- great name. i know an artist named blythe. on the other hand, it reminds me of gilbert blythe, the character in anne of green gables. that's also a plus.
