RHONJ: I saw the dinner party scene, but that is the only episode I have seene. what is the book about?

An ex husband of Danielle's from about 20 years was a bad guy turned FBI informant and he wrote the book about his life, and she was a part of it at the time. They were arrested for distribution of narcotics, kidnapping, extortion, loads of fun stuff. In the book is her mug shot and alot of salicious details about her life at that time (early 80's, I think). It's called cop w/o a badge, if you google it you can get details.
